Kay
Attention to details, organized, diplomatic, professional, caring-
those are a few words that have been used by my bridal families
to describe me.
Upon graduation from Baylor University I began coordinating events
for local business and schools, receiving many awards in the process.
In 1997 I realized I wanted to channel my energy and expertise
into one area--Wedding Coordination. Getting the proper
training and education was very important to me;
therefore,
I obtained my certification from an international program, based
in Dallas:, ACWC- Association of Certified Wedding Consultants.
Prior to my recent move to Dallas, I was active in the Austin professional
organization AWEC- Austin Wedding and Event Coordinators, having
served on the board as an officer.
I am also a member of June Wedding, Inc.
In
addition to my professional responsibilities, over the years
I have continued to be active in many community organizations including
The
Junior
Leagues of Waco and of Austin.
I've been honored to speak at area Bridal Shows, be featured
on area TV programs, involved in articles pertaining to wedding
planning in local papers and magazines. In 2004 I was host
with four other area bridal professionals for a weekly Saturday
morning call-in Austin Radio talk show for brides and wedding professionals.
I was featured in Austin Wedding Day Magazine and The Wedding
Channel. Being continuously involved with each of these organizations
allows me to keep up with the latest trends in the wedding industry.
Weekly net working with other professionals in the wedding industry
gives me the opportunity to provide beneficial resources to my brides.
